The church of All souls in the lower ninth ward is the newest and the most fastest growing Episcopal church in the united states.
The church is located in the heart of lower ninth ward where the main levee broke, our neighborhood and its people were almost swept the whole neighborhood clean.
The church of All souls has become widely known through the globe. The Archbishop of canterbury Rowan Williams, visited the current location at 5500 ST. Claude Av. and blessed the building that was located by Bishop Charles Jenkins, the Bishop of Diocese of Louisiana for use as day care center, community center, and worship place for All souls church. The church began its existence in the garage of Mr. James Lemaan. We meet two times a week Sunday 10:00am- Worship, Wednesday 5:00pm- Bible study.
The Church grand opening is fixed for may 18th at 10:00am and 3pm respectively. We thank Bishop Jenkins for his support.
